President Obama Told Not To Use An iPhone For Security Reasons

iPhone is considered to be one of the world’s most secure smartphones, after all it is being used by many top businessmen and political leaders. Well, it seems the iPhone is not secure enough according to the White House. President Obama, who wanted to use an iPhone was told by his staff that he could not use it due to security reasons and it being susceptible to hackers.

In an event on Tuesday, Obama told a group of young people that he was not allowed to use iPhone due to security reasons. Instead he uses a Blackberry, the same smartphone that has lost a huge chunk of smartphone market share to iPhone and was recently up for sale.
So why is President Obama, the world’s most powerful person not allowed to use an iPhone? Well, according to the White House officials, this is due to the encryption on the iPhone – although quite strong, but it seems not strong enough.

On the other hand, Obama uses a Blackberry smartphone which is world-renowned for its strong security encryption. Even the Blackberry that President Barack Obama is seen to be using is a specially modified Blackberry, that has had some extra security layer on it.
Although Barack Obama is not allowed to use an iPhone, but his daughters, Sasha and Malia do use one.
The White House officials want to give Obama the complete privacy any person can dream of – oh well, the irony!
